- Skyline lookout tower in Porcupine Hills, about 18 m into stand from northeast corner of clearing immediatly south of tower, on west side of road. About 15 west of road to tower. (collection place remarks)
- Subalpine/Montane Ecoregion transition zone. In a Pseudotsuga menziesii/ Elymus innovatus-Aster conspicuus stand. Upper most portion of ridge, upland site with undulating terrain. Well drained. (collection place remarks)
