- Glass, emulsion and paper.
Photographic glass plate negative coated with photographic emulsion. Image in various shades of grey. There is a cream coloured paper with black typewritten print affixed to lower part of the glass.
Print on label "H.M. 39 HARVARD COLLEGE OBSERVATORY 10h - 30o/ This photograph covers a region 30o square, and is one of a series of 115 plates covering/ the entire sky twice, as described in H.C. 71, and 185.". Handwritten print visible on the plate's backside "39".
