- Description
- A soda-glazed brown rectangular bread pan made by Canadian potter Cathi Jefferson in 2000. The bread pan is straight sided standing on six bun feet and with two shell reliefs, one at either end. The bottom of the pan is painted with a leaf design. A leaf pattern is also painted below part of the rim. The potter's name is inscribed on the base.
"Made for "Below the salt" exhibition (Castle), inspired by 19th century salt-glaze. The Museum is committed to developing a centre of excellence for the study of British and International salt-glaze, including contemporary soda glaze. Artists work is individual and beautifully made." [PJW, 16.01.2001, PN2000-001] - See Elsewhere
