- Homemade quilt; consists of irregularly shaped patchwork in abstract pattern using mainly dark plain cloth of assorted woollens and twills; machine stitched and then embroidered in wool in long running stitches; backed with brushed cotton sheet which is white with wide blue stripes; padded with thin wadding; label on corner 'Gift of the Candian Red Cross Society'; probably c.1939-45; dirty with some staining; needs conservation
