- ivory crepe; cotton Leavers lace borders of 2 patterns and widths: 1 with large serrated leaves, centres of close zig-zag of cord, stylised flowers, hexagon mesh ground, cord gimp outlines; 2: narrow, with serrated leaves and curled stems; white silk satin ribbon
- History of Use
- square neck, 2 bodice fronts, sloped from centre neck to side seams; neck edged with first lace border; part trefoil of lace with crepe insertion at centre front; one bias-cut front with gores at sides above hem; 2 bodice backs, V neck with sloped seams to sides; one bias-cut main back with gores; armholes and back neck trimmed with second lace border
fastening: ties of ribbon sewn into sloped front seams to tie at centre back
