History of Use
Mme LeBlanc with its companion portrait of M. LeBlanc, belongs to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which also owns a Portrait of a Gentleman, said to be Napoleon's cousin.  Ingres was 43 when he painted it, and had only recently returned to France after his protracted sojourn in Italy.
